Fun Dance Mix5
This is a fun dance party remix of some of the hottest dance hits released over the past 6 months. This extended mix also includes some of the best producer/dj/remix artists out there - including Moto Blanco, Tony Moran and Warren Rigg, Jody den Broeder, Armin Van Buuren, and Jason Nevins. While this mix doesn't break any new ground - you can't beat the price, and the selected artists include established stars and new talent you may mot have discovered. deadmau5 and kascade, and Utada, are artists that dance and house music enthusiasts need to discover. (Check out deadmau5 and kaskade's "I Remember" and deadmau5 "Faxing Berlin").

As for breaks in the music after downloading - if you use Itunes - just go to the file info (after highlighting all of the songs in the album) and check gapless playback.

Hits & misses3
Some of the remixes are good, like Human, Mercy & Come Back to Me. However, I had no idea why they pick Ultmix for "Mad". It made the song really boring.

Although I don't think that...2
...the "Only Review that Matters" guy is right that this music actually killing the industry, I do have to agree that a lot of this on here is pure garbage. If you look around hard enough, some dance music is good - however, the only track that is worthwhile on this is the Armin Van Buuren mix of Human (although I'm not sure how old this is). A nice track, but FAR above some of the garbage that's on here - That Alina song...? UGH. The only other two good ones on here are about a year old - Mariah's Touch My Body mix and the Kaskade mix - not that all of it needs to be hot off the press, but if you're going to do one of these "trendy"/"fresh"/"out now" CD's that are going to be in a bargain basement bin in a year anyway (because of all the crap on this), then put all new stuff on it. What a waste.

[...] To find good dance stuff, it's always better off to search them out on your own - but on cheeseball compilations like this, it's just not worth it.

2009's answer to "Pet Sounds"5
Grizzly Bear's debut album, "Horn of Plenty," was prototypical freak folk, quite in the vein of contemporaries like Animal Collective, Deerhunter and Yeasayer; with a tinny, lo-fi sound and a rather limited sonic palette, the album was a study in the avant-garde, mixing the rock and folk orthodoxies of yore with the technology of the twenty-first century. They were nonetheless a dynamic, electrifying group, especially galvanizing live, as their rap-rock performance of "Knife" with Girl Talk at the 2007 Pitchfork Music Festival and numerous others equally as fresh and exciting evince. 2006's "Yellow House" found them more focused than ever, having carved out a niche for themselves somewhere in-between Animal Collective experimentalism and Fleet Foxes purism. Here, in 2009, they have, by some considerable distance, produced their most accessible and best album, continuing to refine the sound of "Yellow House" and infusing it with pianos and keyboards and other instrumentation which they had previously shunned. The result is their most focused outing yet, with songs that are instantly stunning but also seem to unfurl over time; with each spin, the listener becomes aware of something new, some small, seemingly insignificant sonic nuance that eluded him at first and somehow manages to shake things up completely.

From the swingy, triumphant opening, "Southern Point," where frontman Ed Droste passionately intones, "You'll never find (But I'll return to you) / You'll never find (When you return to me)," to the spare and cryptic beauty of the closer, "Foreground," the listener is afforded nary a second to rest or take in the better songs in the album. Rather, "Veckatimest," not unlike Animal Collective's "Merriweather Post Pavilion," is meant to be taken in holistically. While on first listen, it all seems like somewhat of a blur, repeated listening attunes one to the smaller scattered details that make the album so cohesive and appealing at first blush. The only songs that are not outright hits are "About Face" and "Fine for Now," but even these, with some repeated listening, will grow on the listener. Nevertheless, tracks like "Cheerleader," the ubiquitous and infectious "Two Weeks," the beautiful, epic detachment of "While You Wait for the Others," the hushed, simmering "I Live With You" and the whimsical "Dory" more than make up for these slight and forgivable missteps. Ultimately, though, "Veckatimest" is nothing more and nothing less than a consummation of all of their initial promise. As such, it is absolutely essential and destined to become a cult classic. Get it now.

Fabulous from start to finish5
This is a solid album by an enormously talented band. You will like it if you appreciate good music.

4.5 stars... Outstanding album4
Let me state upfront that I initially became a huge fan of Grizzly Bear not because of their "Yellow House" album but instead because of their "Friends EP" (which at 41 min. really is much more than an EP). Since then, I've been waiting impatiently for the new release, which by all accounts is one of the most anticipated indie-music releases of 2009.

"Veckatimest" (12 tracks; 52 min.) is not a radical departure from the band's earlier work, but an expansion of it. The album starts off with a moody "Southern Point" only to kick in hard next with "Two Weeks", but the overall sense of the first of the album is sensual and atmospheric. There is a lot of vocals harmonizing (reminiscent of the Beach Boys and, more recently, Fleet Foxes), check out "Dory". The second half of the album starts of with "Ready, Able", one of the best tracks of the album for me, just mesmerizing. Great songs follow one after another. Mu personal favorites include "While You Wait For Others" and the closer "Foreground".

In all, this is a very ambitious but beautiful, even majestic album. At 52 min. it is a lot to digest, reason why I didn't post my review when I bought this album on the day of its release at my indie-music record store. I've listened to this quite a few times since I bought this, and I find new treasures each time I listen to it. I saw Grizzly Bear live a couple of times last year, including one where they opened up for Radiohead, and each time it amazed me how much harder they rock live than on their studio output. I will be seeing them again in a few weeks at Bonnaroo and I can't wait to see how the songs from "Veckatimest" will resonate live. If you wonder where you can here these guys, they are played frequently at WOXY (Bam! the Future of Rock and Roll) , the internet-only station that plays the best indie-music in the country, bar none. Meanwhile, if you love indie-music, buy this album, you will not be disappointed.

Just Dance!5
Lady GaGa's "Just Dance" is an electrifying disco ode that's sure to set your toes tapping. As 2008 was on its way out, I heard this joyful song on the radio. The platinum blonde diva is singing new life into disco. Her song has an infectious beat. It's an instant guilty pleasure. Don't take it too seriously. Put the badness of last year behind you and just dance!

Overdanced3
When it has came down to the past year, there have been too many dance songs that have felt like they don't make you want to get up and dance. That unfortunately has been the case with the overexposed Rihanna, and some other acts. For newcomer Lady Gaga, and her devut single Just Dance, I didn't find the song to really seperate itself from the wannabe acts of dance. The song might've been good as flavor of the moment, but it didn't really seem to seperate itself to being its own. I didn't find the song to be anything special. Although Lady Gaga has potential, I do hope that she can do more to make better dance songs all her own. Hopefully, her next song can be something special.

Song: C-

5 stars for the song itself!5
Great fun song! I had to download the song 3 times to get it on my computer, which I've never had problems with before on Amazon's MP3's, and of course I got charged for all 3 downloads. Customer service did send me a link to download again for free, but it didn't work. I haven't called back only because the connection was so bad, I couldn't understand a word the lady said to me the first time.

I love it!5
This iPod is what I've been waiting for. I just want something small that holds lots of music. This is better than previous shuffles because of voiceover & the ability to have multiple playlists. It's perfect for running because it's so lightweight that I don't notice it when it is clipped to my shorts.

Great for jogging!5
I loved it as soon as it came out and was even better when I got it! Excellent for my jogging, comfy and easier to use while exercising. Cant use any other headphones with it but the headphones where exactly why I got it!

Unimpressed1
Don't buy this product! If you liked your old-style shuffle--as I did--then this will be a disappointment. Yes, it's small. But the controls for the device are on the headset wires, which is very awkward. And if your battery runs low, you lose control over the device--it suddenly blasted my ears off at volume I couldn't set. If you're interested in a small device, check out the Sansa Clip, and look at the face-off review on cNet.

Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)

Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)

Have a nice time i find Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal) Yes, I think that interesting .

BuZZ from Customer Shopping

Fergie's Best Isn't That Great3
Last summer had its share of good music as always, and we at least had a little variety on the radio. Enter, Fergie, the seemingly sex-crazed double-entree singer who sung about her humps, and London Bridge, and a myriad of other metaphors. But this time, instead of doing that stuff, it's a breakup song, with acoustic guitar, and only the hint of a beat.

The lyrics aren't too bad, pretty simple, with hints of 'where did that come from?' Such as, "We'll play jacks and uno cards." The verses are overall OK, nothing to brag about, and the vocals lack in some parts. However, the chorus comes out strong, and it and the acoustic guitar really make this a good song.

So overall, a good song, not a great one. A great change for Fergie, and definitely her best song by far, Black Eyed Peas or not. But in terms of getting this song, I wouldn't buy it, but I'd get it by other means if you know what I mean.

What did Frankie Valli do to deserve this?1
Fergie's "Big girls don't cry (Personal)" is,rest assured,NOT a bland Black Eyed Peas-flavored cover version of Frankie Valli&the Four Seasons' classic. Fergie's ballad is all about how she has to take care of herself, find serenity, etc. It's an "ALL ABOUT MEEEEE" song. One feels for the anonymous love interest. Certainly he deserves better.

"Big girls don't cry (Personal)" highlights Fergie's annoying vocals (like wandering around,off-key) It's an overproduced pop mess. It doesn't do the Jersey Boys any justice. Big girls don't cry,and they don't buy this turgid ballad either.

Personally Strong4
There is so much you can say about Fergie from her fame as part of The Black Eyed Peas. But, her solo debut The Dutchess has had a few surprise songs. Big Girls Don't Cry, the third single from that album is a very heartfelt, and down to Earth ballad. It is a real departure from her other hit songs which are more upbeat. It has a simplistic feel that matches that is very mellow and elequent. I like the song a whole lot, because it shows a more natural tone to Fergie's soulful voice, and what she does to make it worth while. I really hope Fergie can keep making more songs like this one on her next record, or with The Black Eyed Peas.

Song: B 1/2+

Wake Up Call

Wake Up Call

Have a nice time i find Wake Up Call You can see Now!

BuZZ from Customer Shopping

No Fury Like a Man Scorned3
"Wake Up Call" is a catchy song. The melody alone is worth the price of the song. It's got a good beat. Adam Levine sings from the perspective of a man finding his girlfriend in bed with another man ("six foot tall" according to the lyrics-is Levine pint-sized?) It's almost reggae, almost ska... and it works. It's also one of those old-school (VERY old school) "murder ballads." It hits on an ancient theme, like the story of Paolo&Francesca in Dante's "Inferno",in which Francesca's hunchbacked husband slays the adulterous lovers.

"Wake Up Call" isn't the best of Maroon 5's tunes but they've got the beat, beat, beat, they've got the beat.

Waking Up4
When it comes to making great pop/rock music, no group has been able to feel as a great guilty pleasure like Maroon 5. Although it has been so long since they've made a great song, they still know what it really takes. Wake Up Call, the secong single from their sophmore album It Won't Be Soon Before Long is a very upbeat driven song that remains as deep of a staple to what Adam and the band had captured to fans alike for the past several years. It really is a great track from the album, while the lyrics showcase a man who is scorned from a cheating so-called significant other. I hope Maroon 5 can make another great single like this.

Song: B 1/2-

Crank That (Soulja Boy)

Crank That (Soulja Boy)

To day I find introduce you this Crank That (Soulja Boy) from amazon and I read about that ,I think that wonderfull.

BuZZ from Customer Shopping

Cranky about Crank Dat2
"Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)" is one of the most inane "pop" hits to hit the airwaves. Musically,it's atrocious. The lyrics are supposed to be in English,I think (hard to tell) It's all about how Soulja Boy is one bad dude, and how he is going to "spray that ho" and be like Superman(???) Somehow he drags the Man of Steel into this. But this song is kryptonite. It has good rhythm, beyond that--- nada. Nothing. Zilch. It's one of the Worst. Songs. Ever. It works as a soundtrack for parodies, but don't consider it music. Please. In the name of all that's artistic. Should it even be called music?

the end of western civilization5
well...all civilizations have to go sometime...and, i guess, its our turn. i find this song to be an essential work in rap. the compositional form is stripped to a bare minimum of elements, however the sonic structure remains 'hyped'. soulja's use of language decays into some cross between rasta rude and urban zip in an endless repetition of vapid vaingloriousness uphear inda houz...ahh, me lik it be'n dis way, yo. (who need d queen anyway...or the OED.) yeah boiieee...godda go now...wait until this becomes 'classical music'!

Wasted my $31
I bought a copy of this used at a local cd store for $3. It is by far the worst cd I have ever bought. Nearly ever song sounds like "Crank That" with different words. One or two songs are so ridiculous as to be almost amusing, but overall the cd comes off as a kid goofing around with a microphone.

Bubbly5
Colbie Caillat has such a pure and sweet voice, but also so fun and different. I'm loving her new style of music more and more.

So, so smooth. Very relaxing.4
It's so slow and just makes you wanna go play on the beach or something.

Then the wherever, wherever, wherever you go's come in and you melt.

Colbie has a way of getting u sucked in with a pleasantly-relaxing melody and the strum of her guitar.

4.25 stars.

end note: And I know Colbie is voicing about her first time, or the times that she is "doing it", but the song's vibe is so relaxing, you won't care too much!

Colbie captures the essence of simple excitement!5
From a musician that has played, classical complex, to Jazz Band in college, to Blues to Country, I had to share my wonderful thoughts about this song and respond to those who seem to be less musically rounded. Colbie is a breath of fresh air and definitely captures the essence of simple excitement. With Bubbly, she takes you on a journey that just makes you feel good. Listen to her Bubbly acoustic set on You Tube "on Stephanies Stage". In this small setting she had an amazing reaction to this song. This is not a song that you want get out of your head. You want to try and feel this good all the time. While the radio may "play it too much" for some people, this song will be timeless. Her unique voice is infectious and makes you want to keep listening. For those narrow minded people who don't get it - Take your meds regularly, and consult someone with talent before writing a review. This is the first music review I have written so since it is from a rounded musician who was moved to make this his first music review, I hope that adds credibility to those who wonder how to give importance to a review. Thank you Colbie for delivering this song to the world. I enjoy your other songs as well and your variety of music on your cd. I look forward to seeing you live and your many albums to come.

BLECK1
I hate hate hate hate this song. It sounds likes she's trying to rip off other, better singers and the lyrics aren't much to talk about either. Every time I hear this song on the radio, I change stations or turn it off. I'm sure the girl's talented, but I just can't stand this Mariah Carey-esque song. Boring. Next.

I really liked this song at first... but OY the bass line!! 2
I liked this song just fine at first. But what's the deal with the bassline? I had it playing and I thought I blew my speakers, until I realized it was just the way the song sounded. Now, I can't get it out of my head, and it has ruined my enjoyment of the song.

Good hook.3
Lewis' vocal is point on. The hooks are great within this track. I deduct points for the incessant lyrical content. The songwriting is just poor, the vocals are great.

This song moved me.5
Songs should inspire us. Move us emotionally. This song talks about the fast life. I Relate to the song in so many ways.I may have personal favor because of the lyrics. Some music moves us because of the melody others cause of the lyrics. This song moves me in both melody and lyrics.

Funny yet so true.3
This song is funny. It's decent but many hate it, and I guess I can't blame them. I however, liked it enough to write a review on it so you guys can see my opinion. This song has nothing on Photograph in my opinion though. I love that song.

Chad is basically saying how everyone wants to be a rock star, how everyone in the industry is skinny and trying to be a centerfold and also, interesting enough, "have their dealers on speed dial."

lol....

My cousin Tasha LOVES this song. (:

3.5 stars.

Can't get it out of your head5
OK so some people think the song is annoying, but they also admit its the catchiest one out. I can't get it out of my head either. The words are racey I guess but its mostly a satire of rock stars...drugs, sex and rock 'n roll, right? Regardless, the tune is catchy and upbeat. I love their sound, and the lead singer's raucous voice is so sexy.
